Didja Know ... ?

  • The Cowsills are a real life family:  Five brothers (Bill, Bob Paul, Barry and John), their younger sister (Susan), and their mother (Barbara).

  • From Newport, Rhode Island.

  • Sang the theme to the hit ABC television series, Love, American Style. (Friday nights, 9:30, following That Girl).

  • MGM Records insisted that the kids' mother, Barbara, record with her children, then tour with them.

  • Their first hit (The Rain, The Park & Other Things) was co-written by two of the organizers of 1969's legendary Woodstock Festival and concert.

  • Susan Cowsill, at age 8, is still the youngest performer to have a Top 10 hit.

  • Bob Marley has covered Cowsills songs.
